Forest Spa resort Hokkaido Hotel

Forest Spa Resort Hokkaido Hotel is a full-service hotel in Obihiro, wrapped in forest just a few minutes from the station. The hotel draws on moor onsen (モール温泉), a plant-derived hot spring recognized as a Hokkaido Heritage site: the water runs a deep tea-brown, feels smooth on the skin, and can carry flecks of natural sediment straight from the source. The bathing floor has an open-air bath, three indoor baths at different temperatures with a jacuzzi, and a cold bath fed by cool groundwater off the Satsunai river. Men's and women's sauna rooms run Finnish-style, with self-poured loyly steam using the moor water itself. A few room types, including the Forest Spa Twin, add a private open-air onsen bath in the room. Day-use bathing runs on its own hours alongside overnight stays. The hotel's own history goes back to 1899, and some rooms look out toward the Hidaka mountains.
