Heian-yu

Heian-yu is a Kyoto sento with a nice hot sauna, located in a building with a modern design that doesn’t look like a sento. It is always fun to bathe here as there are six types of baths including an aroma bath that changes every day, a frigid cold-water bath of natural water from underground, and a super-hot sauna (over 100 degrees Celsius) where you can watch TV. There are old-timey soft drinks in bottles, and nearby are tourist attractions and tasty, affordable restaurants. This is a suitable sento for public bathing beginners. Follow us on Twitter!
