About
The bath here is indoor only, no rotenburo, with separate sections for men and women and a jet bath. The water runs faintly blue-tinted with sulfur flecks settled at the bottom, kept fairly hot, a look and feel typical of Zao's springs. The ryokan reopened under new ownership in December 2024, after operating for years as Itoya, and takes day-use bathers as well as overnight guests.
