Kaike Kikunoya is a small, 31-room ryokan right on the Kaike Onsen beach, with an indoor bath and an open-air bath filled with salty spring water that leaves skin feeling soft and smooth. Baths are split by floor, men on the first and women on the second, with no swap between them. Most rooms look straight out over the Sea of Japan, and one street-facing room type turns toward Mount Daisen instead. Dinner draws on fish kept alive in the inn's own tank until served, alongside Tottori wagyu, and being a small inn keeps the mood quiet and the service attentive rather than resort-scale.
