About
The hotel's shared bath, Yaoji-no-yu (八百治の湯), is one floor with separate large and medium tubs, a sauna and a cold plunge for men and women. Bathing garments (入浴着) are permitted; just ask at the bath reception. The water is salty. The hotel drilled the spring itself in 1998, striking water 1,257 meters down before the building even opened; when the well came in it was reported as the first hot spring found practical for use in central Fukuoka, and made local newspaper and TV coverage at the time. Steps from Hakata Station, the bath and the restaurant's buffets are both open to day visitors as well as overnight guests.
