Shinto So Onsen in Karasou, Kagoshima City, is a natural onsen with a sodium chloride spring. It offers a postcard-like view with Kagoshima cityscape in front and Sakurajima volcano behind. Facilities include sauna, cold bath, electric bath, jet bath, bubble bath, reclining bath, swimming pool, walking bath, massage machines, day bath, and rest area. It is accessible by crossing Karasou Bridge about 400 meters from the road along the Shinkawa River, and a 10-minute walk from the Karasou bus stop. Parking for 80 cars is available. The bathhouse opens from 4 a.m. and features a popular morning bath event.
