A small Japanese-style ryokan on a rise above the Sea of Japan, in the Tanoura Onsen area of Niigata. The open-air baths look out over the coastline and its odd-shaped rocks. Both the men's and women's sides have an indoor bath as well as an open-air bath, and the men's indoor bath has a sauna. Day visitors can bathe too (higaeri nyuyoku, 日帰り入浴). The rooms are all Japanese-style, and the inn is known for its Sea of Japan seafood dinners and the sea views from the rooms.
