Tendo Onsen Yu-no-ka Matsunoyu

The inn draws on two separate hot-spring sources, feeding a rock outdoor bath carved from Zao stone and a hinoki-built octagonal indoor hall; the two sides swap between men and women overnight. Several room types have their own tub filled with the same spring water, from a half-open-air bath to a ceramic one, though some go without. The building is old but kept spotless, and guests describe an unpretentious ryokan with quiet, attentive service and a seasonal garden that can be seen from the outdoor bath.
