About
A small, town-run day-use bathhouse in Otobe, on Hokkaido's Sea of Japan coast, using genuine hot-spring water straight from the source without dilution. There's one indoor bath, a small outdoor rotenburo that holds about six people, a dry sauna and a cold plunge, with wash stations along the wall. The men's and women's sides swap between the two bathrooms each month, so a repeat visit means a different room. It's a plain, local spot, more neighborhood bathhouse than resort, and a free ice treat after your soak is a small local touch.
