Toyo Grand Hotel has its own hot spring source, feeding a sunlit indoor bath with a jet bath and a rock-lined open-air bath outside, facing the peaks of Musadake and Sharidake with the Shibetsu River audible nearby. The water is colorless with a smooth, faintly silky feel. Reviewers say it leaves skin soft afterward. There's also a dry sauna and a cold plunge bath. It's a city hotel built around more than the bath: a restaurant, an izakaya, a cafe, and banquet and wedding space share the building. Day-use bathing draws a crowd through the day, so mornings and evenings are quieter for a soak.
