Kohanso

Kohanso is a small minshuku (民宿, family-run inn) on the shore of Omatsu pond in Muikamachi. The baths use onsen water and are separated for men and women. Guests sleep on futon on tatami and eat in their rooms. The building keeps its Showa-era feel, and reviewers describe it as quiet and a bit like visiting a relative's house in the countryside. A ski area is within walking distance.
