About
Tanakaya Hinageshikan is a 20-room ryokan on Rishiri Island, right by the Oshidomari trailhead for Mt. Rishiri, so it doubles as a base for climbers and hikers heading up the mountain or over to Rebun Island. The indoor bath is small, one plain tub each for men and women, filled with water from Rishirifuji Onsen (利尻富士温泉) that leaves the skin feeling smooth. The inn runs pickups from the airport and ferry port, and dinner is built around whatever the local catch is that day.
