Yunomoto Onsen has been drawing bathers since 1902, and claims to be Japan's oldest inn built on a high-concentration carbonated spring. The bathhouse has three options: a warm indoor bath whose water turns golden as the cold spring is heated, an unheated indoor cold carbonated bath, and a small open-air rotenburo with a gentler carbonated soak. A sauna rounds out the lineup. The spring water is also sold for drinking at the front desk. Regulars tend to be locals, so the baths can fill up on weekday afternoons.
