Hoshiya Yokusen

An old-style sento in Ogi, Adachi ward, with water heated by a wood-fired boiler and a painted mural (penki-e) on the bath wall. The men's bath has a blood-pressure monitor on display and the women's bath shows patchwork artwork. Among the fixtures are jet baths, a seated bath, a medicinal bath, and a garden. Reached by bus from Kitasenju Station to the Motoki Elementary School stop, then 5 minutes on foot, or about 8 minutes from Ogiohashi Station on the Nippori-Toneri Liner.
