Ooyuonsenyumotoshoya Izumiya Hotel

A small ryokan in Oyu Onsen (大湯温泉), Uonuma, with separate baths for men and women. The water is clear and colorless, and the inn calls it "crystal" spring water for the way it shines. The men's bath is roomy, and the temperature in the women's bath differs from front to back. Out front there is a foot bath anyone can use, and staying guests can also buy tickets for the shared bath Yukinohana (雪華の湯). The building is Showa-era and a little worn, but kept clean, and guests mention the retro feel and the quiet. The inn says the spring was opened by the monk Gyoki some 1,300 years ago.
