Fujiya Ryokan is an old wooden inn in the Tamayama onsen area of Iwaki. The bath runs on cold mineral spring water that feels smooth on the skin, like a lotion. It is gender-separated at set times and can be taken as a private bath (kashikiri, 貸切) in the evening, first come, first served. The inn dates back to 1744, and guests mention an earthen-floored entrance, an irori hearth and a carefully kept interior. There is little around it, so it suits a quiet stay.
