About
A small day-use bath on a hillside in Shinjo's Yamaya district, with one good-sized indoor bath and smooth, faintly slippery water. There's a dry sauna and a cold shower instead of a cold plunge, plus a rest area for afterward. No restaurant on site, so plan to eat elsewhere. The bath closed at the end of 2017 as Ouu Kanazawa Onsen (奥羽金沢温泉) and reopened under a new operator in August 2024. Service here is minimal, with an unstaffed front desk, but people keep coming back for the water rather than the amenities.
