Semi Onsen's public bathhouse packs two indoor tubs at different temperatures, a small open-air bath, and an old-style steam room heated by onsen vapor into one compact building. The water is barely diluted, so it stays close to spring strength, with a faint trace of sulfur. A covered footbath out front is free to use, with space nearby to boil onsen eggs. You get in through a coin-operated door rather than a front desk, and there's no shampoo or soap provided, so bring your own. It sits in Semi Onsen, a small hot spring town tied to the legend of Yoshitsune (義経) and Benkei (弁慶).
