The 900 yen rate is for adults (junior-high age and up); children from age one through elementary school pay 500 yen, and infants under one are not permitted to bathe.

This small, six-room ryokan near Ryuga-do (龍河洞) cave draws its own alkaline spring water. Bathers often describe it as silky, smooth enough that you can still feel it on your skin after getting out, and it fills one indoor communal bath rather than an open-air one. Day-use bathing is available, though on an irregular schedule rather than fixed days. The inn keeps things unpretentious and homey, more like returning to a familiar hometown than checking into somewhere formal, with home-style Tosa (土佐) cooking built around local sea and mountain ingredients. Tanuki figurines, including a large one by the entrance, are scattered through the building and have become something of a running theme.
