About

Eikokan is a ryokan in the hills of Okuaizu, close to where the Tadami and Otani rivers meet. The baths are indoors only, separate for men and women, filled with kakenagashi (源泉掛け流し) spring water that runs brownish and feels a little thick on the skin. A small private bath sits in a separate building. Visitors mention river mist rising in summer and a retro Showa feel to the building, and the Tadami Line trains pass nearby. Day visits (日帰り入浴) are possible, and there is free parking. The access road is narrow.
