Chikurakan

Chikurakan is a hot spring inn in Chikura, on the Boso Peninsula coast in Chiba. The spring water carries a mild sulfur scent with a salty edge, piped into two indoor baths, Shutsujin-buro (出陣風呂) for men and Hagoromo-no-yu (羽衣の湯) for women. A private open-air bath can also be booked separately, for a day visit or during a stay. Some of the designer guest rooms, done with input from designer Shigeru Uchida, add their own open-air bath looking out over the sea. The detached guest rooms have a terrace above the Kawajiri River, within earshot of the waves.
