Nangoku Hotel draws its own hot spring, a self-source that's uncommon on this stretch of the Boso coast, and pipes it into an indoor bath and an attached open-air bath; the water is warming and mildly salty. There's also a sauna, and a separate reservable private open-air bath decorated with rock and cycad plants, though it runs on heated tap water rather than the spring. The hotel is part of the Ito-en chain, known for buffet dining with free-flow drinks, and some rooms in the main building look out over the sea.
