Children must bathe with a guardian; elementary-school age and under may not bathe alone, and a child may join the opposite-gender parent's side only up to age 6.

Urasoe no Yu is a day-use bathing floor on the third level of the Xystus Urasoe sports club, separate from the gym and pool below. The water is pumped up from roughly 1,500 meters underground, seawater trapped by ground movement some 8 million years ago; it runs faintly brown and is distinctly salty. Alongside the indoor bath there's a cold plunge, a high-temperature sauna and a steam sauna, plus an outdoor bath that alternates monthly between the men's and women's sides. It reads as a plain neighborhood bathhouse rather than a resort, the kind of place regulars come back to for the sauna-and-cold-plunge routine as much as for the water itself.
