Day spa complex in Akashi, Hyogo Prefecture. The building stands right on the seashore, so as a bonus, there is a beautiful view of Osaka Bay, Okura Beach, and the Akashi Kaikyō Bridge. The water is "Kin-no-yu," odorless, cloudy, with a rich bright reddish color, and salty in taste. It mainly contains iron, sodium chloride, calcium, and magnesium. Neutral, pH 6.8. Inside: * Main bath * Hydromassage reclining baths * Sitting bath * Electric bath * Dry sauna + mizuburo (water bath) In all indoor baths except mizuburo, water is pumped under pressure, so everything bubbles and steams powerfully inside. Outside: * Central round rotenburo (open-air bath) made of stone. Bright or aromatic additives are added seasonally. * Smaller stone rotenburo under a roof and elevated. Unfortunately, this is the only bath supplied with onsen water directly from the source. Due to the color of the stones and water, you will definitely notice it. * Small and hot bath under a roof. * Stone barrels. The complex offers towel rental, a restaurant, spa services, massage, hair salon, and a chill zone with manga. If the weather permits, have dinner on the open terrace: the view is worth it. Considering the affordable price and proximity to the train station, Tatsu-no-yu is in many ways an accessible and pleasant option. De facto my home onsen 🙂 2025-05-27
