Aso Baien Spa Resort is a hotel in Minamiaso with its own separate-sex open-air baths fed by natural onsen water. The open-air bath looks out over the garden, a lake and the outer rim of the Aso caldera, and the water is kept flowing from the source. The hotel's main baths are for overnight guests only. The resort also has Hi no Yama Onsen Dondoko-yu, its attached bathhouse on the same grounds, with a different atmosphere.
