Day Use
YesDay-use last entry is 23:00, even though the baths themselves stay open until midnight. For day visitors the sauna runs from around noon until about 23:50; it is closed in the morning.
Adult admission is 900 yen (1,000 yen from December 29 to January 3); children of elementary-school age and younger pay half price. A small face towel is sold for 200 yen, and a large bath towel can be rented separately for 200 yen.

About
Umenoya is a ryokan and hotel in the middle of Yuda Onsen, in Yamaguchi City, with two bathing halls. A guest-only hall that opened in 2025 has an indoor bath, an open-air bath, a sauna and a cold plunge; a second hall, open to day-trip visitors too, blends the town's hot spring water with the inn's own cooler source to keep a steady bathing temperature. The water is mild and smooth on the skin, locally known as bihada no yu (美肌の湯), skin-beautifying water. One guest room, Tsubaki, comes with its own private onsen bath. Rooms overall have a plain, warm feel rather than a formal one. Day-use bathing is available nearly around the clock, from early morning until just before midnight, alongside a restaurant for kaiseki-style dinners and a separate cafe lounge.
