About

Yamabuki is a small ryokan in Norikura Kogen, right at the base of the ski slopes. The indoor communal bath holds milky white, faintly sulfurous water at a mild temperature, easy to soak in for a long while. Two more baths are outdoors and reservable, booked in timed turns so each room gets one to itself. The inn is simple and unpretentious, and reviewers describe a warm, easygoing welcome from the owners, a good match for families on a ski trip.
