Kushibiki Onsen Yu Town is a local public bath on the outskirts of Tsuruoka, open for day-use bathing (higaeri nyuyoku, 日帰り入浴). The bathhouse has two floors joined by a spiral staircase. The ground-floor bath holds the brown, slightly salty spring water, and upstairs there is a far-infrared sauna with a TV and more baths. Men and women have their own large baths with bubble jets, and there are no private baths. Shampoo, body soap and hair dryers are provided, and a large rest hall is available. It feels like a typical suburban municipal bathhouse, busy with locals, though the half-round building and the staircase running through it make it a little unusual.
