A 119-room hotel designed by the architect Shigeru Ban, with a spa of natural hot spring water. It has three baths, Amairo-no-yu (天色の湯), Gesshiro-no-yu (月白の湯) and Tokiiro-no-yu (朱鷺色の湯), with indoor baths and open-air baths between them, plus washing stations. There are two Finnish-style saunas with self-loyly, a cold plunge and a spot to cool off outside. In the open-air baths you can see the surrounding mountains and sky through the gap between the tub and the ceiling. The men's and women's baths swap every morning, so a longer stay lets you try them all. The spa is meant for hotel guests, and day use (higaeri nyuyoku, 日帰り入浴) is not offered.
