Itamuro Onsen Suiseikan

A small family-run minshuku at Itamuro Onsen (板室温泉) in Nasushiobara. It has an indoor bath and an open-air bath, and the two are set at different temperatures: the indoor one runs hot, the open-air one is gently warm. Guests describe the Itamuro water as soft, and the building as old but well cleaned, with generous home-style meals and a warm welcome from the owners. It is listed as temporarily closed, and one report says the roof of the indoor bath section collapsed in September 2025, with no firm date to reopen. Call before planning a visit.
