Yamabikoso is a lodge in Uonuma with a large communal bath lit by daylight, with windows onto the surrounding mountains. There are two baths, Yakushi-no-yu (薬師の湯) and Naeba-no-yu (苗場の湯), and they swap between men and women morning and evening, so it is worth trying both if you stay. Day visitors can bathe too, and can eat in a private room.
