About

Yu Park Yakushi is a day-use bathing facility in Uonuma. There are two baths, Yakushi (薬師) and Jigenji (慈眼寺), and they swap between men and women depending on whether the date is odd or even. Both have a large indoor bath, a cold plunge, a lying-down bath and a dry sauna. The Yakushi side adds a bubbling jet bath, while the Jigenji side adds an open-air bath (rotenburo) and a utaseyu (打たせ湯), where water falls on your shoulders, so which of those you get depends on the day. The water is a mild, plain hot spring. There is a restaurant on site and a large hall for resting afterwards. Mixed bathing is not offered, and visitors with tattoos are not admitted.
