Day Use
YesEnter between 10:00 and 15:30; the stay is up to two hours. The indoor bath is open around the clock for guests, and the open-air bath is locked at 21:00. A guest room can be used for the day from 11:00 to 16:00 (two hours or more).
Bath only, 800 yen per visit, with no separate child rate. Towel rental: small towel 100 yen, bath towel 200 yen, yukata 400 yen. A guest room for day use is by reservation.

A small, old-fashioned toji (湯治) inn in Kakeyu Onsen, Ueda, Nagano, set along the gorge. The indoor bath is open around the clock and the open-air bath beside the gorge is locked at night. Fresh spring water pours into the tubs, and it is clean enough to drink, even from the shower and the hallway tap. Mixed bathing ended in July 2024, so the baths are now separate for men and women. The building shows its age and the place is plain rather than polished, which suits people who come for the water. Bathing without a stay is possible by the hour.
