Natural carbonated spring Niconico-so

Nikoniko-so is a small, family-run ryokan with 10 rooms at Yuya Onsen, set in a green valley in the Gifu mountains. The indoor bath draws on the inn's carbonated spring, warmed until the water turns amber and feels silky on the skin, while a separate outdoor bath uses mountain spring water instead. A drinking fountain along the corridor to the baths lets guests taste the mineral water, which the kitchen also uses for cooking, including the rice porridge served at breakfast. Guest rooms don't have their own bath, and children are welcome as guests.
