A ryokan on the slopes of Mt. Ontake at 1800m, in a mountain forest. Indoor and open-air baths draw from two separate springs, both run as kakenagashi (源泉かけ流し), continuously flowing without recirculation. The rotenburo sits right against primeval forest, with views of Ontake and Mt. Hakusan on clear days. A private outdoor bath is available to guests at no extra charge. No day use; lodging only. The inn is a member of Nihon Hitoyu wo Mamoru Kai (日本秘湯を守る会), the association of secluded hot spring inns.
