About
A small communal bathhouse a minute's walk from Matsuzaki Station in the Togo Onsen area, reached through a narrow alley beside the barber shop where you pay on the way in. Inside there is just one indoor tub, fed with real hot spring water that runs quite hot from the tap, so most bathers cool it down before getting in. The water is clear, faintly salty and soft on the skin. There is no washing area, only a single tap and a few shared basins, so bring your own soap and shampoo. Nobody is on duty inside, and the plain, worn-in interior still feels like an old-fashioned neighbourhood bath.
