小安峡大噴湯おやすきょうだいふんとう
A steaming hot-water geyser in a V-shaped gorge
On-site or nearby parking available
This is a place to look at the water, not to bathe in it. Hot water and steam shoot out of the rock in a V-shaped gorge, and a walkway along the river lets you see it up close. It is the best-known sight of Oyasukyo. Visitors mention a foot bath at the parking area, so bring a towel. The walkway is closed in winter and can also close when the river rises.
