Oyasukyo Onsen Yu no Yado Motoyu Kurabu

A ryokan in the Oyasukyo (小安峡) onsen area in the hills of Yuzawa, Akita. Men's and women's baths are separate, each with an indoor bath and an open-air bath, and there is a steam sauna that runs on the hot spring. Three private baths (kashikiri, 貸切風呂) can be booked as well: a hinoki one, a kihada one and an open-air one. It is a quiet spot among the mountains, close to the Oyasukyo Daifunto geyser walk, and guests mention big clean rooms, local Akita food served in private dining rooms and a friendly, down-to-earth staff. Some find the open-air water on the hot side. There are no convenience stores nearby, so plan your evening meal ahead.
