Gifu Grand Hotel sits on the bank of the Nagara River, facing Mt. Kinkazan and Gifu Castle, and draws on Nagaragawa Onsen, one of the springs listed among Japan's 100 notable hot springs. The bathing area has an open-air-style bath, a dry sauna with a cold plunge, a herbal bath, and a jacuzzi tub. Open since 1964, the hotel also runs French, Chinese and Japanese restaurants along with a lounge and bar, and river-side rooms look out over the water toward the castle.
