Heated tap water, not a natural hot spring
Google's own listing name brands this as a 軟水 (soft water) bathhouse, not a hot-spring (onsen) facility; a review also states the bath water is 軟水 (soft, skin-smoothing), with no onsen/mineral-spring claim anywhere.
Open-air outdoor bath
Enclosed indoor bathing area
Sauna room of any kind
Cold water plunge bath, typically used after sauna
Shared bathing area for all genders
Only the lobby/rest area is shared (mixed); reviews describe a standard men's/women's separated sento with no mention of 混浴 (mixed bathing) in the baths themselves.
Shower, wash stations, soap and shampoo provided
Towels available to rent or borrow
Relaxation space for after bathing
A shared coed lobby/lounge area where drinks and craft beer are sold and consumed after bathing.
On-site or nearby parking available
Hinomoto-yu is a small, old-school sento tucked into a residential corner of Moriguchi, just outside Osaka. The bathwater is softened rather than a hot spring, and regulars say it leaves the skin smooth. Alongside indoor tubs with a jet bath, an electric bath, and a medicated bath, there's an outdoor area with a plain hot bath and a salt bath, plus both a dry sauna and a steam sauna. One of the tubs changes daily, and after soaking you can sit in the shared lobby with a craft beer or a local cider, a nice small touch for what is otherwise a classic town bathhouse.
