Kasuitei sits right on the Kaike Onsen beach, split between a main wing and an annex where every guest room has its own open-air bath fed from the property's own onsen source. The shared baths in both wings face the Sea of Japan and Mount Daisen: the annex's second-floor bath has a sauna and a cold plunge on both the men's and women's sides, with a tourmaline tub and a cypress tub added on the women's side, while the ground-floor baths in the main wing look onto a garden that is lit up at night. Four small private baths, three open-air and one indoor, can be reserved by stay guests on the day, first-come. The ryokan opened in 1989 as a sister property to the Kaike Grand Hotel next door, added the annex with its private in-room baths in 2002, and reopened after a renovation in July 2026.
