Kogenyu is a compact recovery complex in the Zao Bodaira Athlete Village, run as a bathhouse, sauna and cafe in one. Day visitors can take just the onsen bath, which uses clear water, or add the sauna, which is small, fits about six, and allows self-loyly. The cold plunge is next to it, and the outdoor-air deck is walled in but gets a breeze and birdsong from the trees. Men and women change separately, and shampoo and body soap are provided. The building also has a pool and a studio. Afterwards the cafe serves hand-drip coffee, house-made syrup drinks and Pakistani home-style curry. It opened in July 2020.
