YesBaths are closed for cleaning from 1:00 to 4:00 and from 8:00 to 10:00. Day-use bathing is outside cleaning times.
Adult 600 yen, elementary and junior-high students 350 yen. A free tatami rest room (33 tatami mats) is available, and private day-use rooms can be rented for an extra fee.

Hotel Foresta Chokai sits in the highlands at Sarukura Onsen, with Mt. Chokai in view from the windows. The large bath has an indoor bath, an open-air bath and a sauna, and there are also private family baths (kashikiri, 貸切) that overnight guests can use for free by reservation. The water runs clear with a brownish tint and feels smooth and slippery on the skin. Day visitors (higaeri nyuyoku, 日帰り入浴) are welcome, and there is a big tatami rest room for them. Meals are in a Nordic-style restaurant, and the hotel has a kids room, which makes it easy with small children.
