YesLast entry 21:30. Opens at 13:00 instead of 15:00 from 1 July to 31 August and from 1 December to 31 March. Closed on Wednesdays and the third Tuesday of each month (may shift around public holidays).
Child rate is 300 yen. Towels and toiletries can be rented or bought at the desk; bath towel rental is 300 yen.

About
A small communal bath run by the local spring association, close to Echigo-Yuzawa station. It has a single tub of hot, clear, slightly silky water, and soap and rinse-in shampoo are provided in the bathing area. Towels can be rented or bought at the desk, so you can come empty-handed. The feel is of an old town sento rather than a resort: a bit worn, kept clean, with local regulars and a rest area with ice cream and drinks. Skiers and hikers often stop in on the way back to the train. Parking is limited to a few spaces.
