The adult price applies from junior high school age up; elementary school children and preschoolers pay less. A rental set with towel, shampoo, conditioner and soap is available for a small extra fee.

Hachiman Onsen is a plain, day-use bathhouse at the foot of Mt. Bizan in Tokushima, fed by real onsen water. Inside there's a large communal bath, a dry sauna and a salt sauna both big enough for a group, plus a cold plunge. There's also a jet bath and a hot open-air tub. It doesn't go for a modern spa look, more like an old-fashioned neighborhood sento, and regulars describe it as a quiet, word-of-mouth kind of place rather than a busy tourist stop. The second-floor dining hall was recently renovated and serves set meals, noodles and rice bowls.
