Hotel Yamauchi

Hotel Yamauchi is a small, old-fashioned inn in Yumachi, the old spa quarter of Kaminoyama onsen. The bath is modest in size and runs on undiluted source water, kakenagashi style, on the hot side and without any smell. With so few rooms, it is often close to having the bath to yourself. The rooms are dated but tidy, in the manner of an older Japanese inn, and the place suits a quiet, unfussy stay. Skincare and face-wash amenities are stocked, and there is a car park.
