Taikyoro

Taikyoro is a small ryokan, ten rooms, on the canal in Amanohashidate, run by the Monjusou group since it opened in 1868. The men's bath pairs an indoor rock bath with an open-air bath along the canal; the women's side has a choice of three, a fisherman's kettle bath, a stone bath, and a retro tiled bath. The onsen water has a slightly slick texture, known locally as good for the skin.
