Kamishiro Onsen Kunimotoya is a small ryokan in Iwaki that bathes in its own spring. Guests describe the water as slightly slick going in and smooth on the skin afterwards, easy to like and warming. It is one of only a few springs in Fukushima permitted for drinking. Day visitors (higaeri nyuyoku, 日帰り入浴) can use the bath without staying, and there is a private bath (kashikiri, 貸切) that can be reserved. Shampoo, conditioner and body soap are provided at the washing stations. The mood is unfussy and homely, with a friendly landlady and home-style meals that guests praise.
