A day-use bathhouse along Route 5 in the center of Nanae, Hokkaido. The indoor bath area has a large tub, a jacuzzi, a reclining bath, a sauna and a cold bath, with separate wash stations. Outside, the open-air bath sits among trees and has a covered arbor, so it stays usable in the rain. The water is a sodium calcium chloride sulfate spring, salty and warming rather than showy. A small food counter serves soba, udon and light bites, and there is a tatami rest area to relax in after bathing. Free parking fits 50 cars.
