Showaso

Showaso is a small, old-fashioned inn in Akakura Onsen, close to the ski slopes, so the guests are mostly skiers and snowboarders. Visitors single out the bath for its roomy tub. Meals are homely, built on local ingredients, and there is a lounge stocked with manga and books. The owner is friendly and likes to chat, and regulars come back for the unhurried feel of the place.
